Our Story

As the mother of 3 young kids and wife to a dedicated father, I see every day how today's dads are stepping up and stepping in — more than any generation before them. They're doing their best, often despite the lack of tools, examples, and sometimes even role models of their own.

It started with a tiny voice saying “Up, Papa!” — and my husband lifting our daughter onto his shoulders. That simple moment — her laughing, him beaming, the whole world feeling right — that's what I wanted to protect.

But I also noticed the little frustrations: hats knocked off, little hands grabbing at brims, the awkward positioning. And I thought — why isn't there anything designed for this?

Together with my husband, we decided to create UpPapa — not just a hat, but a movement. We want to give dads the physical products they need to get closer and more connected to their children. And beyond products, we're building a space — the UpPapa Club — where dads can track their journey, celebrate milestones, and be reminded that showing up is the most important thing they'll ever do.

This is for every dad who gives shoulder rides until his back hurts. Every dad who reads one more bedtime story. Every dad who's figuring it out as he goes.
