The Origin
“Up, Papa!” That was the moment.
When my daughter asked Dad for a shoulder ride, it wasn't about getting higher — it was about being closer. That simple two-word request became the spark for everything UpPapa stands for today.
I noticed what so many parents experience: the joy of a shoulder ride interrupted by hats getting knocked off, little hands grabbing brims, or the awkward positioning that made the whole thing less fun than it should be.
That realization led me to bring together a small team based in LA to bring better design to modern parenting. Not more bulky stuff. Just thoughtful, elevated pieces that support connection in motion.
